As a macadamia processor, we offer a range of services to farmers in the region each season. Harvest season runs from March – September each year working with and this service is a significant part of our business model. We arrange skips, coordinate pick up and drop off to our silos, take samples, pay growers for their macadamias which we process for divisions of our business.
Waliz Nuts is proud to work with Summerland House Farm who help us de-husk and sort each season’s crop ensuring it is ready for processing. As a business provider of Australia’s largest disability provider, House with No Steps, they provide employment for people with a disability in our community.
Our Newrybar factory is a HACCP approved premises with a commercial kitchen that we use to produce our own range of macadamia packs, nut bars, macadamia oil and butter available for wholesale and retail sale. The factory boasts state-of-the-art form fill and flow wrapping machines, which is vital to producing our range of quality products direct from the farm.
We also provide services such as value adding to other macadamia businesses, offer contract cracking, bagging and export nuts and our retail product range to clients overseas in Asia, Europe, USA & Canada.
We supply macadamias wholesale to clients across Australia as well as many restaurants in the local area such as Raes at Wategos, Byron At Byron Resort & Spa, Gaia Retreat & Spa, Mi Thai Lennox Head and Bangalow Dining Room.
All our macadamias are sourced from local farmers in the Byron hinterland and we only use macadamias from the current season in all our products. This ensures all our customers experience the tastiest, crunchiest and freshest macadamias on the market.
